Ann Grant ''my little piece of heaven"

After a career in advertising, Ann Grant moved from London to East Sussex and has bought a retreat in Suffolk, a listed lodge at The Manor at Herringswell.

"“From London it takes two hours to get here, but once you arrive, it’s another world. It’s been finished simply rather than ostentatiously. The space goes into the eaves so there are high ceilings. Leaded windows have been retained and there are oak and slate floors. I had considered buying an old wreck to renovate, but this is as close to perfection as you can get. I call it my little piece of heaven"
